Welcome
Hello, I’m Zeke Armijo, a creative with a passion for athletics and visual storytelling. I recently graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Advertising at the Temerlin Advertising Institute at SMU.
I joined SMU Football in May 2025 as a Creative Graduate Assistant and am contributing to helping build a bold and recognizable brand for the Mustangs. In my role, I design and produce visual content such as graphics and photography that support recruiting efforts and strengthen the program’s social media presence. I also had the privilege of joining the CFP Social/Creative team for the 2025-26 season.
Before arriving at SMU, I served as the lead graphic designer and photographer for Clemson men’s basketball during the 2024-25 season. I was fortunate to be part of a historic year that included a school record 27 wins and an NCAA Tournament appearance. During my time with Clemson Athletics, I also contributed creatively across multiple programs, capturing content during media days, practices, and gamedays.
My background as a collegiate athlete continues to shape my approach as a creative. I played defensive back at Bakersfield College in my hometown of Bakersfield, California from 2020 to 2022, earning associate degrees in Communication Studies and Liberal Arts. That experience strengthened my connection to athletics and reinforced my passion for storytelling.
My creative journey began in 2018 when I launched @InsideTheIrish, an Instagram account dedicated to Notre Dame athletics. As a lifelong Irish fan, I created engaging content centered around news, scores, highlights, and original visuals. The account has since grown to more than 75,000 followers and has attracted notable followers such as Conor McGregor, Dick Vitale, and other sports legends.
Blending my experience as both an athlete and a creative, I am driven to tell authentic stories and create impactful content at the highest level.
